Yes, I know this looks rubbish. -_-

It’s good, and not good at the same time. More noise, but a crap ton of vibration and drone in the higher rpms, just at 4000rpm that I can not only hear, but feel throughout the interior. It tingles badly....

The sound isn’t bad, but not very clear, and not much of an increase in turbo noise either. I now need to figure out how to tune the sound to my preference while getting rid of as much of the drone as possible.

I think what I’ll do is hack off the next restricting piece of metal (resonator), and either put a chambered muffler in it’s place, or a less restrictive resonator, and see how that plays out.

Cat needs to come out. Thats where all the noise is going away.

Bullet muffler. Can take down the drone and make the sound more smooth.

a lot of “turbo sound” comes from the inlet side, at the compressor intake.

I’m glad you don’t mind giving people cancer so that your car can sound cool.

Think of it like a zero chamber muffler.

Should of started with a downpipe and high flow cat out even catless.

My turbo Cobalt sounds great catless. Loud on cold start/ cat warm up but sounds almost stock during normal driving. But when I get on it, it gets real loud, you can hear the wastegate and all the pops and crackles when you let off. NLS sounds like a gunshot.

You gotta add lead to the gas too, it deadens the combustion to give it more low-end oomph sound!

On a turbo car, better downpipe is a worthy exhaust mod, and usually will leave the factory cats alone or is a ‘sportcat.’

Does it have a resonator halfway or just the mufflers? *(added pic)

Iusually leave the mufflers (they do the auditory tuning) but straight pipe the post-cat resonators instead. It’s the exhaust box in the middle of this photo for those uninitiated.

that leaves you mostly muffled but usually a much deeper tone, and its about half the cutting/welding so likely cheaper too!
